Welcome to MITOMED

MITOMED is the clinical arm of the Center for Mitochondrial and Molecular Medicine and Genetics (MAMMAG). Directed by Dr. Douglas C. Wallace, MAMMAG is a group of researchers and physicians who specialize in disorders of energy metabolism, especially mitochondrial disorders. MITOMED operates a Clinical (CLIA certified) laboratory, an Evaluation Clinic, and a number of research projects.

MITOMED Clinical Laboratory

Mitomed Diagnostic Laboratory will observe the Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays according to the University of California holiday schedule, listed below. Please contact the laboratory at 949-824-1886 to make any necessary special arrangements.

• Thanksgiving: Thursday, 11/26/09 and Friday, 11/27/2009 (open on Monday, 11/30/2009)
• Winter: Monday, 12/21/2009 - Friday, 1/1/2010 (open on Monday, 1/4/2010)
